Guilt

I was reading Psalm 32 a few days ago, and I thought about Freud.  The text reads that God has forgiven me from the guilt of my sin in the Book of Alternative Services.  I was thinking of Freud's patient, the woman who couldn't walk and about how guilt can be physically debilitating.  Sin can cause physical harm to us.  It's no wonder that that wages of sin are death.  Jesus said, "Is it easier to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’?"
