Minds Do Not Understand

In reading the 13th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, the minds do not understand phrase caught my attention.  So many times, I have been told by evangelicals that you can't come to know God through your intellect.  It may read differently in other translations, but in the Good News Bible is is mind that is used, and this is interesting to me--something to ponder.

    See, in the NRSV and NIV versions, it says heart and not mind. Now, this discovery is not pivital to the meaning of the Gospel; but, it is interesting how one word can change a meaning. No wonder Atheists believe the Bible is full of errors. I think C.S. Lewis would argue about the intellect being useless though.
