Reflection on the Nature of Life & Old Age

I think the men are the lucky ones.  We don’t live as long, sure.  But, the women die alone and without the comfort of their partner.  They also end up in homes, because—when we age—we are less able to take care of ourselves, we rely on each other for support; one person no longer has that support.  So, as I say, men are the lucky ones, leaving women alone, undefended, and helpless in their age.
