I was thinking: St. Paul's always had such nice carved and stained hardwood, and St. James' looked "good enough", battered, and worn; the craftsman may have been paid top dollar to work the wood of St. James' by its affluent parishioners, but their work of love was their home, St. Paul's, the working man's Church.
