In the Quran, Surah 2:154, it says that when people are dead, they are only perceived by us to be dead.  Expounding on that principle, wouldn't that mean that God only made it look like the Romans & Jews killed Jesus, as the Quran also claims?

Son of Man

I was introduced to a concept within the last few days.  The term *son of* in the Semitic languages, is not always to be taken literally, but to indicate the nature of something.  e.g. Son of The Road means a traveler.  So, Son of God--not necessarily meaning God's Son (although that it dangerously blasphemous)--could mean that He has *the nature of God*.  Jesus is fully God and fully man.  For the record, He is also the actual Son of God by virtue of the fact that the Spirit made Mary full with child.

I Keep Sinning

This passage if very comforting to me.  While it looks dangerous on the surface, a refusal to take responsibility, it is an acknowledgement of our humanity and the fact that we cannot be good all on our own.

German Paper

Last night, I had a whole wack of strange dreams.  I remember fragments.

I was in a Church with Dad and my second youngest brother.  After the service, he was looking to donate.  During cleanup, we were seperated, and he left without us while we waited for him inside the door.  I found him at home.

Then, I was writing a college paper at a table outside the house.  A storm was coming.  As I continued to write, it began to rain.  I rushed to gather up the papers and books as they started getting wet from the rain, and headed inside.

At o e point, I had speaking broken German to a strange woman.  It was quite the REM trip.

Lines, and Tarmac, and Cyclists oh my

The goal--if we're being honest with ourselves--is not to protect cyclists on the road.  It is to promote environmentalism.  If we wanted to protect cyclists, we'd keep them on the sidewalk and make them walk their bikes across the crosswalks.  Our roads were designed for automobiles.  What we *are* doing is engaging in a tongue in cheek crusade whereby we sacrifice cyclists to further the cause of protecting the environment from carbon emissions.  Cyclists are being hit *because* they are on the road.  Think about it:  How many cyclists are struck by cars in the forest on a trail?  Now, Kitchener has a section of King St. with a raised bike lane.  That is an acceptable solution.

Causes

The Pharisees didn't worship the right way.  They didn't understand that Jesus *was* the messiah. They were hung up on following the law, being religious. 

But, everybody--Pharisees, Jews, and even the Apostles--thought that Christ's Kingdom would deliver them from the Roman's.  Today, we modern day disciples believe that Christ's Kingdom will deliver us from *man made climate disaster.*  And, it is the role of His Church militant here on Earth to accomplish works to that end, maybe as the fruit of the Spirit?

Nope

Several days ago, Cindy said that I was having a bad dream, and asked should she have woke me up.   

So, I don't remember all my dreams.
