Be Jews

Another reading from the 5th Sunday in Epiphany got me thinking.  Be as those under the law while you are with them to, kind of, work to your end goal.  Be as the Jews etc....  Again, it's a lot like the 14th chapter of the book of Romans.  Be okay with ssm around same sex couples?  I think St. Paul would approve.

As I sit here sipping my post work pre bedtime whiskey, scotch neat, I write my last few days' thoughts.  Isaiah 40:22 got me thinking, a huh moment.  Thousands of years before Galileo, Isaiah wrote that the Earth was round.  Who'd a thunk it? 

Eat Meat

Today's reading at Church from the New Testament was from 1 Corinthians chapter 8.  It reminded me a lot of the 14th chapter of the book of Romans.  Sometimes we just shouldn't eat meat.  Our brother is more important.

Burning Barn

I find it strange and sad that people who came here from Eastern Block countries for a better life vote liberal.  Why?  Why does the horse run back into the burning barn?
